Kings vs. Devils: Kings Riding Perfect Road to Stanley

The Kings remained road warriors on Saturday night when they bested the Devils once again in overtime.  Los Angeles's 2-1 victory continued their undefeated reign on the road during the 2012 postseason.

Now leading the series, 2-0, the Kings have an opportunity to sweepNew Jersey.  Should they win their two home games this coming week, they will have enjoyed a perfect postseason on the road.   They have already made history, as no other team has gone 10-0 away from their home building in the chase for the Stanley Cup.

Jeff Carter notched the winning score on a struggling Devils crease minder.  Martin Brodeur has allowed two goals in each of the Finals two contests thus far.  Kings goalie Johnathan Quick has been more prudent, allowing only a goal each per matchup.  Quick's save percentage of .970 bests Brodeur's mark by .32

But Brodeur is not nearly the Devils biggest woe.  New Jersey has been unable to muster a respectable offense, even during power plays.  Thus, the future Hall of Fame goaltender's 30 saves were not enough to negate the respectable 2 scores.

Check back Monday for a full preview of what both teams must do to either stay alive or take home the Cup.
