Minnesota Vikings Rumors: Adrian Peterson Rips Baltimore Ravens Fans After Snowballs Tossed at Players, Foot Injury Makes Week 15 Status Uncertain

Adrian Peterson had a rough Sunday in Week 14. The Minnesota Vikings running back certainly was not enjoying the snowy showdown and things only went from bad to worse when he suffered a foot injury that left him getting carted off the field. Pair that with questionable officiating and bad fans and Peterson is now going off on a little tangent.

The Vikings feel to the Baltimore Ravens after a last-minute touchdown by Joe Flacco. During the final drive, the Vikings were called for six penalties including a crucial pass interference call that canceled out an interception. As a result, the Ravens won and Peterson was made. The running back is claiming that the officiating a terrible fanbase of the Ravens made the game every worse.

"They've got the worst fans in the NFL," Peterson said, via ESPN.com. "(They were) throwing snowballs the entire fourth quarter, like kids. It was a bad feeling, a bad feeling."

Peterson says he certainly wishes the Ravens the best, but he believes Baltimore won that game because the referees were on their side. Along with the pass interference call, running back Toby Gerhard had a first quarter fumble that was upheld after a review. Both Minnesota running backs were upset by the call.

"Some of the calls that were made, you just went, 'Wow. I can't believe that was called,'" Peterson said. "That's just one of them, one out of many (bad calls). I wish (the Ravens) the best of luck the rest of the season. The Baltimore Ravens don't make the calls. It's a tough one to swallow."

The issue for Peterson now becomes his foot. The reigning MVP sprained his foot in the second quarter of the game and did not return for the second half. He is set to have an MRI Monday. Head coach Leslie Frazier downplayed the severity of the injury, saying it was just a sprain and was nothing that would be serious in the future.

The loss was a heartbreaker for Minnesota. Peterson left angry not only because of the injury but because of the fan reactions. He noted his team came in a fought really hard and to top it off with bad fans left people pretty angry.

"It's frustrating for us," Peterson said. "We come in and we fight so hard, to have to beat a team and the officials, it doesn't make any sense. ... And then to top it off you have the fans who are acting like kids and just throwing snowballs the end of the third quarter and the entire fourth quarter. It's like, it was ridiculous. It doesn't make sense."
