NFL Players Likely To Get Traded At Deadline: Kenny Britt, Josh Gordon, Brandon Weeden and Jason Babin Trades Could Happen

The NFL trade deadline is getting closer and that means it's time for everyone in the media to speculate about who will get dealt and deals that should go down but probably never will and we can join in on the fun, as some of the top names being mentioned in deals are players like Kenny Britt, Josh Gordon, Brandon Weeden and Jason Babin as well as Hakeem Nicks and Maurice Jones-Drew.

Kenny Britt and Josh Gordon have been the two names at wide receiver that have been mentioned the most and the San Francisco 49ers have been mentioned as a possible destination for both, as they have the draft picks and the need to make a deal happen. The team is getting back Michael Crabtree and Mario Manningham soon, but both are coming off of significant injuries and they may not be able to be relied on for the rest of the season, making the team have to figure out what to do at the deadline.

There is a chance the team decides to sit tight for Week 8 and then allows the deadline to pass, but Gordon would be a perfect fit in the offense with Colin Kaepernick and the team could decide to pull the trigger. Trade rumors have been around Gordon for weeks and the Browns said that they were not actively shopping him, but that there are deals on the table for picks and players, although they reportedly want multiple high picks. Gordon is a dynamic player and the Browns likely will be happy to just keep him if they don't get what they want and if they want another option, they could go with Britt.

The Titans and Britt have been at odds for a year or two and the team has young talent in Justin Hunter and Kendall Wright, meaning they may want to just cut ties with Britt and get picks in return. Of course there is Hakeem Nicks out there as well, but he will cost a bunch and the other two receivers might be a more realistic option, especially since the Giants likely will not deal him despite being 1-6 because that's really not what Big Blue does.

Gordon was the most dynamic player for the Browns last season with 50 catches for over 800 yards and he is well on his way to besting those numbers despite missing two games for a suspension. The 49ers could make a move, but it remains to be seen how serious they are about adding Gordon or Britt. The Browns have named Jason Campbell their starter for this week and that has also fueled speculation that Weeden could be traded.

Weeden has not been great for the Browns and while he is a young player in the league he has some age on him from playing minor league baseball, but some team out there could make a deal, as the quarterback situation around the league is dire, including in places like St. Louis and Chicago. The Browns won't part with him for nothing, but after benching him yet again, it might be time. Jason Babin and basically anyone on the Jaguars has the chance to go and he could be a prime target for contenders looking for depth on the line.
