Seattle Seahawks Free Agent Rumors: Michael Robinson May Return For Marshawn Lynch After Derrick Coleman and Spencer Ware Injuries

The Seattle Seahawks released team favorite player Michael Robinson after the preseason in a salary move and now it appears that the fullback could be back with the team this week, as Marshawn Lynch's top blocker may sign after Derrick Coleman and Spencer Ware went down with injuries.

The Seahawks are one of the best rushing teams in the league and according to Pro Football Talk and ESPN.com, Robinson could be the main option for the team after reports came out that he is taking a physical with the team this week. Robinson started 14 games over the past three years, scoring three touchdowns and he is one of the main reasons why Lynch has been one of the most consistent backs in the league. Robinson also played special teams for the Seahawks and with the schedule hitting a bit of a lull the next few games with the Rams, Bucs, Falcons and Vikings, the team is thinking of bringing him back.

Robinson helped Lynch rush for 1,590 yards last season and after working as the starting fullback for three years, many on the team were sad to see him go. Reports had him dealing with an illness in the preseason and now he could sign back with team for just under one million. Coleman is currently out after suffering a hamstring injury against the Cardinals and Ware has been out with an ankle issue. Robinson missed just two games over the past two seasons and he missed just five in 2010.

Over the past three seasons, Lynch has been over 1,000 yards both times, scoring 23 touchdowns in the process. Last season he has nearly 1,600 yards and the previous season he had just over 1,200.
