Week 6 Fantasy Football Running Backs: Marcel Reece, Pierre Thomas, Willis McGahee, Le'Veon Bell Free Agent Starters For David Wilson Injury

The fantasy football season is moving into week 6 and with David Wilson ruled out Thursday night, some running back options for fantasy owners includes Pierre Thomas, Willis McGahee, Le'Veon Bell and Andre Ellington.

All those names could be solid options for Wilson, who is now ruled out for Week 6 against the Bears. The New York Giants are pretty terrible this season and now that they are 0-5 in 2013, the team will have to find some way to turn things around, but after losing to the Eagles on Sunday and having running back David Wilson exit the game with an injury, there isn't much hope in East Rutherford.

Running back David Wilson started off the game looking good rushing the ball, but according to ESPN.com, he had to leave at the end of the first quarter with a neck injury and did not return to the game. When he first went out the team said he was questionable and he was on the field for the Giants when they scored their first touchdown with him on a five-year run, after which he back flipped twice. The flips appeared to be unrelated to the injury, and he may have been hurt on a tackle at the end of the quarter.

Wilson finished the game with six carries for 16 yards and the touchdown and after his injury, Brandon Jacobs got the majority of the catches and he is a must pick up for any Wilson owners. The Giants have been utterly terrible rushing the ball this season and they have been very sloppy with ball security, turning it over at an alarming rate. The Giants are now 0-5 for the first time in decades and the team gave up four more turnovers and now there's not much hope left for the season. Wilson has now been ruled out for Thursday against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.

Wilson was looked at as a sleeper option heading into the season, but he has not been effective in the running game and neither have the Giants overall, ranking in the bottom part of the league. The NFC East is a mess right now and somehow the Eagles have ended up in fine position after previously losing three straight, as the Cowboys lost a shootout against the Denver Broncos and the Washington Redskins are still 1-3 on the season after having a bye.

Manning has three more interceptions and the Giants are now left wondering where the season has gone and how far away their previous Super Bowl feels. Michael Vick was injured in the game, but it was no matter for the Eagles, as Nick Foles picked apart the Giants defense for nearly 200 yards and a couple of touchdowns. The team shutout the Giants in the fourth quarter and they may have basically ended the season and any chance of having a winning record for New York.
