Oakland Raiders Rumors: Charles Woodson Ties NFL Record With Defensive Touchdown After Danny Woodhead Fumble Against San Diego Chargers

The Oakland Raiders were forced to push the start time of their game back against the San Diego Chargers due to the Oakland Athletics and Detroit Tigers playing their series on Saturday night at O.co Coliseum, but that didn't stop veteran Charles Woodson from tying an NFL record in the process.

According to Pro Football Talk, Woodson scored his 13th career defensive touchdown in the game on Sunday night against the Chargers, which tied him with both Rod Woodson and Darren Sharper for the all-time record. Woodson is one of the most prolific defensive backs in history and he helped the Raiders improved to 2-3 on the season with a win over the Chargers and the feat is another line on his already great career resume, which includes a Super Bowl and a defensive player of the year award.

The team now will face the Kansas City Chiefs next before having a bye week and they are 2-3 facing a 5-0 team next Sunday on CBS. The Raiders ended up winning over the Chargers by the score of 27-17 and he also added an interception in the game to help seal things up. His score came in the third quarter and helped push the lead to 24-3 before the Chargers made a slight comeback.
