Red Sox, Rays TV Schedule: Channel and Time for Game 1 of ALDS Friday

The Boston Red Sox host the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 1 of the 2013 ALDS. It will be the second of four baseball games on today's schedule. Don't miss any of the action. Find out where and when to watch the Red Sox's and Rays' series opener as the TV schedule with channel info is provided.

Game Time: 3 p.m. ET

TV Channel- Where to Watch: TBS

This game will eventually overlap with the St. Louis Cardinals vs. Pittsburgh Pirates game, which took off at 1 p.m. ET, but enough with the NLDS.

This ALDS matchup features baseball's best, the Red Sox, who won 97 games in 2013. They won the most games in the MLB and they will face the Rays, who are considered to be the bottom of the barrel. However, they have answered the call twice after the 2013 season, winning two consecutive elimination games.

The Rays have taken out the Texas Rangers and the Wild Card favorite, Cleveland Indians. In both games, pitching stole the headline. First, it was David Price who pitched a complete game against the Rangers, allowing only two runs. Then Alex Cobb pitched seven scoreless innings in the 2013 Wild Card Game against the Indians.

The Red Sox have been patiently waiting, playing intrasquad scrimmages while the Rays and Indians were in action. Boston has one of the game's most productive lineups and their pitching responded in 2013. They will send Jon Lester, who heated up in the second half of the season, to the mound. Lester finished 2013 with a 15-8 record.

He will be opposed by coveted Rays' lefty, Matt Moore who was excellent in 2013, going 17-4 with a 3.29 ERA. Back in July, Moore pitched a complete-game shutout where he allowed just two hits and a walk, while striking out four Red Sox. The Rays could use a similar performance today as they look to avoid losing Game 1 on the road.
