Seattle Seahawks Pete Carroll Questioned 9/11 Pentagon Attack In Talk With Army Chief As Wednesday Is September 11 Anniversary (SWR Flashback)

The Seattle Seahawks are heading into a big game on Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers and with the 9/11 anniversary on Wednesday, here is a look back at Pete Carroll and something he said earlier in the year about the possibility that some of the attacks were faked.

The story by Deadspin from June alleges that Carroll spoke with the former vice chief of staff for the army over the summer and that while the two were talking, 9/11 came up. Since it is the Anniversary of September 11th, here is a quick look back at the Carroll story from the summer and whether it holds up and whether Carroll is an actual 9/11 truther and conspiracy believer.

The Deadspin story describes a meeting and conversation between Carroll and retired army staffer Peter Chiarelli, who was also a general and who was also in the Pentagon the day of the attacks on 9/11. The report says that the two talked about a number of topics, including military action in Iraq as well as in other places and they also spoke about 9/11 and one reason Chiarelli was with the team was likely due to the fact that he from the area.

Chiarelli said that Carroll spoke about a number of topics, including whether the attacks on September 11th were connected to the US government. He also asked if the Pentagon attack was real or not and since Chiarelli was actually in the Pentagon, he likely could give a nice and real description of it.

The story says that Carroll asked about a bunch of different topics and not just 9/11, but with the anniversary coming, we figured it might be relevant to look at.
