Jets Rumors: Tim Tebow on Hard Knocks

The New York Jets could be going back on HBO's "Hard Knocks" in 2012, after being featured in the program in 2010.

According to sources with the NY Daily News the Jets are "among a handful of teams still in consideration" to appear on the show which gives an inside look at an NFL team.

Team officials have expressed mixed feelings about appearing on the show, with the owner Woody Johnson making comments in favor of it, while the head coach Rex Ryan and GM Mike Tannenbaum expressing reservations.

The Jets would possibly be a huge draw for the show, with New York being the largest media market and now having the NFL's most marketable athlete in quarterback Tim Tebow.

Tebow was traded to the Jets following the Denver Broncos free agent signing of Peyton Manning. Tebow led the Broncos on a surprising playoff run and first round victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, while causing a media frenzy.

Jets starting quarterback Mark Sanchez struggled last season, providing more potential drama should a clamor go out for Tebow to play.

HBO needs to have a team in place within the month, in order to prepare for filming minicamps which begin in June.
