Manchester United Transfer Rumors: Moyes Plotting £45 Million Double Deal for Real Madrid Duo Ozil and Kaka

As David Moyes' hunt for a midfielder goes on, Manchester United are being linked with a sensational move for Real Madrid duo Mesut Ozil and Kaka.

Ozil was linked with a move to Old Trafford last week, with reports in Spain suggesting United were ready to offer £40 million ($62.4 million) for the German international.

Now according to Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo, United could make a double swoop on Real with Kaka also thrown into the mix in a deal worth around £45 million ($70 million).

United have also been linked with Real midfielder Luka Modric, but with the Croatian desperate to prove himself at the Bernabeu during his second season, Ozil and/or Kaka look like the more likelier options.

Ozil is reportedly ready to leave Real Madrid this summer after the Spanish side brought in Isco, who played alongside Ozil in the opening game of the La Liga season against Levante.

Isco was the start of the show, scoring the winner and Ozil could be ready to look for pastures anew if an agreeable offer were to be made.

According to the report Kaka is reluctant to leave Real and wants to prove himself under Carlo Ancelotti. But Real are keen to offload the Brazilian and the Spanish side might make it mandatory for United to take Kaka along with Ozil as part of any deal which would bring the latter to Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Michael Carrick has backed Wayne Rooney to stay at United after the England international made an appearance from the bench in the first game of their English Premier League season against Swansea.

"Wayne is a great player," Carrick said. "He is one of the lads. He is one of us and we all stick together.

"I didn't hear the fans but he has given this club an awful lot. The fans support him and so do we.

"He came on and looked good. He set up two goals. That is what he is all about.

"We played for each other to get the win. He was certainly part of that."
