Tottenham Transfer Rumors: Daniel Levy To Target Erik Lamela, Christian Eriksen And Willian In Attempts To Keep Bale From The Advances Of Real Madrid

As the Gareth Bale transfer saga continues, David Lewis has developed a plan and will make his pitch to persuade Bale to stay at Tottenham in the next 24 hours by telling him about the big names he's considering bringing in.

Tottenham majority shareholder Joe Lewis will allow Levy to carry on spending this summer on at least three big named signings with the Spurs already have spent out £50m on new players.

Lewis wants Bale to neglect the advances of Real Madrid and allow the Spurs one more year because he believes with the top three clubs-Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea-all in transition under new managers, a serious tittle challenge is within the club's grasp.

As of now the top two targets before the transfer window is closed on Sept. 2 are Roma's Argentina winger Erik Lamela, who will cost the club nearly £30m, and Ajax's £8m Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen.

Spurs will also compete with Liverpool for Anzhi Makhachkala's £30m Brazilian striker Willian.

Also on the shopping list is Croatian teenager Alen Halilovic dubbed the 'new Luka Modric' for whom a £12.9m deal has already been agreed with Dinamo Zagreb.

They're also pushing to sign the 23-year-old Romania and Steaua Bucharest central defender Vlad Chiriches, although it has been reported that the club's owner, Gigi Becali, who is in jail, is unhappy for the deal to proceed.
