Will Aaron Hernandez Girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins Stand With Accused Murderer? Fiancee Now Single Mother As Florida Gators Past Shows Fighting, Drug Use and Gang Ties

Former New England Patriots star tight end Aaron Hernandez has numerous things to worry about as he sits behind bars in Bristol County and one of the biggest issues for the disgraced player is whether his girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins will support him through his trial.

According to ESPN.com, Jenkins previously was talking to police once the case started up and Hernandez was arrested, but she quickly stopped cooperating after being told by her boyfriend to discontinue doing so. Jenkins has numerous questions for herself, as she may have not known about Hernandez's current and past issues and now she likely will be a single mother with a child. The couple lived together in the North Attleboro home where Hernandez was arrested and Jenkins was visibly shaken after Hernandez was denied bail and taken away in court.

Jenkins also has other connections to the case, as he sister Shanea was dating Odin Lloyd at the time he was killed and she is likely going through a tough time as well. The Boston Globe reported that Hernandez knew Lloyd for two years and that the four often made plans together and spend time together. Jenkins now has to see how the case will play out and whether she will be called to testify and she also may decide to marry Hernandez, as that could stop her from being called to the stand.

Jenkins is now left alone after Hernandez was arrested and he could be facing life in prison for the crime of murdering Lloyd. Hernandez also could be facing more charges if the police find evidence he took part in a double murder from last year and that case is still unsolved. The two knew each other since high school and also dated while he played for the Gators in Florida.

The murder case has shed some light on Hernandez and his past, including his time at Florida where he was connected with a shooting. He also had drug issues and was suspended for failing a drug test and his first year at school he also was involved in a fight with a bouncer. The case is a big deal for Hernandez, as he was one of the top young players in the NFL and now his career and life could be over. The body of Lloyd was found a mile from his home and had shell casings that could be tied back to the star, while lawyers presented evidence that tied him to the murder and putting him with Lloyd in a car before the murder occurred.
