Aaron Hernandez Arrested Video: New England Patriots Star In Police Custody and Charged In Murder, Odin Lloyd Dated TE Girlfriend's Sister Before Shooting (Live Vid Footage)

New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was taken into custody by police on Wednesday in connection with the murder of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd and was led from his home in handcuffs while wearing a white t-shirt and black sneakers.

According to local reports, the charges will not be announced until Hernandez appears in court, but it is likely that they will be for obstruction of justice, as he destroyed his cell phone and home security system before police could look at them. The tight end is connected to Lloyd through his girlfriend and was seen on video with the victim hours before his murder.

Police searched Hernandez's home as well as the surrounding areas and brought out evidence earlier in the week and after deliberating on the investigation, charges were filed. There was confusion all last week about the arrest warrant and clearly that is now in order, as police took Hernandez into custody on Wednesday.

Hernandez had remained holed up at home over the weekend and yesterday one of his lawyers, James Sultan, came with paperwork and spent time at the home. That may have been related to the arrest, which came 18 hours later and saw police take out the tight end who just signed a long extension with the Patriots.

New England Patriots football player Aaron Hernandez was arrested on Wednesday, according to local media reports. He had been questioned and his house searched in connection with an investigation into the shooting death of a young man found less than a mile from the star tight end's sprawling home in North Attleborough, Massachusetts.

Massachusetts State Police referred questions to local authorities who did not immediately respond.

WBZ, a local affiliate of CBS, showed video of Hernandez being taken from his home in handcuffs.
