San Diego Padres vs. San Francisco Giants Live Stream Free: Watch Online MLB as Matt Cain Gets Start 10:15 PM ET

The San Diego Padres are on a winning streak and will do everything they can to keep it going. The team earned their seventh consecutive victory on Monday. The win was an extra vote of confidence to the Padres' hitters after they lost their best bat, Everth Cabrera. The shortstop went down with a hamstring issue on Sunday and could be out for a significant amount of time.

San Diego is hoping the hamstring soreness does not end up with a strip to the disabled list since Cabrera is batting .305 with 84 hits on the season. Cabrera has been a big contributor during the team's recent success, hitting .405 as San Diego has won their last 13 of 19 games. The Padres will also be without Carlos Quentin who is suffering from a sore left shoulder.

The team will go up against the San Francisco Giants who will give Matt Cain the start. Cain is 5-3 on the season with a 4.70 ERA. The pitcher has had success in recent starts against the Padres, going 2-0 in the last three starts, with a .084 ERA. The right hander started June off on a bad note, giving up seven runs in six innings to St. Louis. In his last two starts since, he has only given up one earned run in 13 innings.

San Francisco has also been hit with the injury bug as of late. Both Angel Pagan and Pablo Sandoval are doing rehab stints and Marco Scutaro has been out of the team lineup with an injured left hand. Bruce Bochy believes Scutaro will be back on Tuesday.
