Manchester United Transfer News: Fellaini Insists He Has Not Had Any Contact with Moyes Over Old Trafford Summer Switch

Marouane Fellaini said he has had no contact from David Moyes over a summer move to Manchester United, while insisting he is perfectly happy at Everton even without the manager that turned him into a quality player in the English Premier League.

Once Moyes, who spent 11 years at Everton, was named the man to take over from Sir Alex Ferguson at United, it was inevitable that the likes of Fellaini, Leighton Baines, Phil Jagielka and Kevin Mirallas would be linked with a move to Old Trafford.

Fellaini is seen as the ideal candidate for United, to fill the void in midfield and with a reported release clause also inserted into his contract, a move to United looked likely.

However, neither side made any noises over a proposed move for weeks, with Fellaini now coming out and saying he has no idea about a switch to United in the summer.

"He got a good offer and I understood why he accepted it," Fellaini, who scored a goal for Belgium in their 4-2 friendly win over the United States, said.

"But he never told me he planned to take me to United. Rumors are part of football and I take them with a pinch of salt.

"Everyone likes that question about Manchester United, but I know of nothing."

Everton are yet to appoint a new manager with the likes of Roberto Martinez, Vitor Pereira and Ralf Rangnick linked with the job, but Fellaini is not worried about the situation, saying he sees his future at Goodison Park.

"My destiny is with Everton, it's as simple as that," he added.

"We're talking about one of the biggest clubs in England, the framework is in place and the manager's departure doesn't change anything.

"I do miss playing in the Champions League but we deserved to win a place in it this year.

"We were unlucky Spurs had a good season as well. But it's clear I am very happy where I am. Everything else is waffle."
