After a long away trip, Royal Challengers Bangalore will be happy to return home when they take on Kings XI Punjab in a crucial IPL 2013 game for both sides.
RCB have not had a great time of it away from home, which has seen their grip on the playoff places loosen a little.
They are currently in fourth place on 16 points from 13 games, while Kings XI face a must-win situation in their remaining three matches to keep alive their slim hopes of finishing in the top-four.
"Every game is a must-win," Kings XI coach Darren Lehmann said. "So we have just got to perform better than we have in the last couple of games.
"The other night (against Sunrisers Hyderabad) we were 20 percent short of where we wanted to be. We missed some chances in the field. I think Hyderabad probably should have made only 120-130. So we can't worry about anything else other than getting better each time we play."
RCB have been a formidable outfit at home, and will start the favorites as they return to the familiar environs of the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Lehmann acknowledges RCB superiority in Bangalore, and believes getting Chris Gayle out early will be key to his team's fortunes.
"Obviously, they have got some dangerous players," Lehmann added. We will have to bowl really well and hold our chances in the field.
"This year, if we had caught everything coming our way, we would have won a couple of extra games. If we can do that and get Gayle early, that would be ideal.
"It's a challenge for us to play a side that plays well at home. So, it's a good contest for us with quality players and a chance for us to get better as a side."
RCB can knock out Kings XI and defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders out of the running for the playoffs with victory on Tuesday, something that Virat Kohli will be extremely desperate to achieve, as a win would then make it a five-way fight between RCB, CSK, MI, RR and Sunrisers for the final four places.
