Chris Broussard Comments On ESPN About Jason Collins Coming Out Gay Story, Calls Homosexuality 'An Open Rebellion To God' on Outside The Lines (VIDEO)

The Jason Collins story is giving ESPN all kinds of headaches, including (as pointed out by Deadspin) something they have to talk about instead of talking about Tim Tebow on Sportscenter and now after doing an "Outside the Lines" special, the network is in hot water again.

According to Deadspin.com, after the network did not cover the story for hours, Chris Broussard went on OT to discuss the story with openly gay correspondent LZ Granderson and said something the network likely wishes he didn't. He has his own opinions and he was expressing them, but he said about being gay was "An Open Rebellion To God" in describing his religious beliefs, after which LZ Granderson said that everyone is entitled to their personal connection to faith.

Broussard was responding to a question about Collins saying he identifies as a Christian despite his homosexuality and then he mentioned the quote. For the record, Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson, Kevin Durant and everyone else seems to be very happy for Collins.
