Boston Bombers Basketball Team Changes Name After Boston Marathon Bombing Attack, Women's Club Ditches Bombs After Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Arrest

The Boston Bombers women's basketball team has decided to change its name to the Bulldogs following the deadly Boston Marathon bombing attack.

According to the Daily Mail, the semi-professional team in Boston decided on the name change and shut down its previous website and Facebook page after the tragedy and revealed the Boston Bulldogs name on Tuesday. S spokesperson for the team said that plans occurred right after the incident happened and that the black and red bomb logo and name was no longer appropriate.

The Bombers are in a 40 team Women's Blue Chip League, which is a semi professional league for players that has no salaries and gives exposure. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is in custody after a police standoff and his attack left three dead and hundreds wounded as authorizes try to piece together the entire ordeal.
