FBI Agents Raid and Lock Down Corporate Headquarters Of Pilot Flying J As Others Work Boston Marathon Explosion, Cleveland Browns Owner Jimmy Haslam Serves As CEO

The Cleveland Browns have a new owner and some new hope heading into the 2013 season and that is due to Jimmy Haslam, but not all is perfect for the new NFL owner, as his former company and one that he serves as CEO for was raided by the FBI.

According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the main headquarters for the company was raided for an "ongoing investigation" by the FBI and the IRS, although details about what that investigation was about are unclear. Haslam left the company to purchase the Browns and is back as CEO since February. The family business in Tennessee is a nationwide chain of truck stops and convenience stores and Haslam said he believed there was no wrong doing about the situation. The company was originally founded in 1958 by the elder Haslam.

Haslam released a statement about the incident, writing: The FBI secured our headquarters today and informed us they are investigating Pilot Flying J. We will cooperate appropriately with any and all external investigations and conduct our own. Pilot Flying J is confident that the matter will be resolved fully."
