San Antonio Spurs Coach Gregg Popovich’s Home Was Burglarized

San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich was a victim of having his house burglarized by thieves, who made away with his Air Force Academy class ring, in one of San Antonio's most upscale neighborhoods.

According to The San Antonio Express-News, thieves broke it to the Poppovich home while the Spurs were away on their annual rodeo road trip.

Authorities who were patrolling the neighborhood discovered the gate to Poppovich's house open and decided to investigate. Upon entering the property, they found that a glass door was broken.

Overall in The Dominion housing complex police data has shown since the start of the year there have been 11 burglaries and four thefts in the high-profile residency of pricey homes and tight security.

"We've sent out periodic updates on the burglaries themselves and (have been) advising residents on how to better protect themselves and secure their property," said Rob McDaniel, the homeowner association's general manager.

Just weeks apart from Miami Heat's Chris Bosh's home invasion, Pop becomes the second member of the NBA to have his home burglarized this year.

In Bosh's case it was estimated that thieves made off with an estimated $340,000 in watches, handbags and rings. Recognizable items such as Bosh's Heat championship ring were left behind.

Police came to the conclusion that there was no signs of forced entry at the Bosh home and that they've begun the process of interviewing housekeepers and checking anyone else who has access to Bosh's home recently.
