Kevin Ware broke his leg as the Louisville Cardinals faced the Duke Blue Devils in the 2013 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. It was in the first half of the game as the Cardinals were battling for position in the Final Four of the tournament.

Ware was attempting to block a shot when he landed on his leg an it snapped in half. The bone came out from his shin and the guard, who hails from the Bronx, N.Y., fell to the ground in agony. The pain was so immense that even his coach, Rick Pitino and teammates were pained just to watch what had taken place. Tyler Thornton of Duke connected on his shot, but Ware and his teammates couldn't care less.

Ware, has played a huge part in the Louisville's run so far in this tournament. He's one of their leaders off the bench and recently, against the Oregon Ducks in the Sweet 16, scored 11 point going 5-7 from the floor in that game. In his previous two NCAA Basketball Tournament games, he had scored nine points combined.

All Ware could say following his debilitating injury, "Don't worry about me. I'll be OK. Go out and win the Tournament."

Currently, the Louisville Cardinals are up 59-44 and doing exactly as Ware had asked for. CBS announcers mentioned that advancing to the Final Four would have been special for Ware since his family hails from Atlanta. Right now, his teammates are playing for a chance to make it to Atlanta.

This will be dangerous moving forward as a talented group like Louisville now has an extra reason and more motivation to win.
