NCAA Basketball Tournament 2013 Results: Final Score 78-75 Ohio St. Wins After Controversial Call Against Iowa St.

The No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes defeated No. 10 Iowa State Cyclones in a close and exciting NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament game that went down to the wire. However, a controversial call made by the refs might have spoiled what could have been an upset. Ohio St. beat Iowa St. 78-75 in the closing seconds of the game as Aaron Craft played the heroics.

With just a second left to play in the game, Craft held the ball and threw up a three that gave the Buckeyes the lead in what eventually became the winning shot as Iowa St. couldn't do anything with the time remaining.

Though Craft's shot should be the highlight of the game and apparently, it's being treated this way as coverage of the controversial foul has gone missing. With 1:41 left to play as time was winding down and Iowa St. clinging to a 75-74 lead, Craft stepped in front of Will Clyburn and took an apparent charge. However, after looking at the replay, Craft's foot seems to have been over the restricted circle.

Clyburn had made the bucket, but it was erased. Instead of going to the line for an and-1 situation, the ball was given to Indiana. The score could have been 78-74 in favor of Iowa St., but the referees never let this occur as Ohio State was given the ball just down one.

Craft later tied the game with a free throw and then broke the hearts of Iowa St. fans sinking the three that would send his Buckeyes into the Sweet 16. Craft finished the game with 18 points and shot 5-10 from three. However, it was Deshaun Thomas who took chrage in this one scoring 22 points on 8-14 shooting.

Iowa St was depending on their guard, Korie Lucious, who scored 19 points in this game. Clyburn finished with 17 points as Iowa St. shot 44 percent from the floor and hit 12 of 25 threes all day long. They also had a dominating game on the glass as they out-rebounded Ohio St. 35-20.

Ohio State advanced to the Sweet 16 with the vicotry and will face the No. 6 Arizona Wildcats.
