Jeremy Lin is the most well-known and popular alumni basketball player from Harvard and that was one reason why he was so pumped to watch his Crimson upset the number three seed New Mexico Lobos on Thursday night.

According to USA Today, Lin tweeted a picture about the game and also wrote very excitedly as they won. The 14th-seeded Crimson got 18 points from Wesley Saunders and defeated New Mexico 68-62 to advance against the winner of Arizona-Belmont on Friday.

The win for Harvard was the first in school history and now puts the Ivy League on the map in the NCAA tourney. Harvard was excellent from long range, making 8-for-18 from 3-point range and made Lin proud.

Lin was with the team through his senior year and he averaged 17.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists as a junior before breaking out with 16.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists as a senior.
