Los Angeles Lakers Rumors: Kobe Bryant Suffers From Flu Like Symptoms That Will Keep Him Sidelined, How Will This Effect Team's Playoff Chances?

The Los Angeles Lakers return to their home court Sunday night against the Sacramento Kings, but they'll likely be without star guard Kobe Bryant.

After suffering a severe ankle sprain in the team's loss to the Atlanta Hawks on March 13th, Bryant willed himself to compete in the Lakers' match against the Indiana Pacers, where he called it quits after the first quarter as the ankle caused to much discomfort.

To make matters worse for the Lakers, Bryant tweeted Saturday night that he also dealing with a flu, making his ankle recovery process even more frustrating.

The OC Register reports that Kobe is not expected to suit up for the Lakers' game Sunday night in Staples Center.

Kobe Bryant is not expected to play Sunday night vs. Sacramento because of his sprained left ankle. Assuming he doesn't play, it makes some sense to skip Monday night in Phoenix also considering the Lakers then have three days off before playing Friday night vs. Washington.

Nevertheless, the Lakers will be in need of Bryant for their final stretch of the season as they continue making their push towards the playoffs.

However, for right now the team will need its stars to carry the team to victory. n the win over the Pacers, Dwight Howard and Steve Nash played very well together and they must be on the same page in the game on Sunday.
