Manchester United Transfer News: Angel Di Maria on His Way to Old Trafford in the Summer?

Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria in the summer.

The Argentine was impressive in the Champions League clash against United last week, but has rarely shown glimpses of that form this season, leading to the Real Madrid hierarchy getting frustrated.

His agents, therefore, are offering Di Maria, around Europe, according to the Daily Mirror, and United could take advantage.

Manchester City have also been linked with a move in the past and are likely to rival their English Premier League rivals for the 25-year-old's signature.

Meanwhile, Anderson has come out and reiterated his desire to remain with United, saying he is happy at Old Trafford.

Anderson was linked with a move away earlier, with reports in Portugal suggesting the Brazilian was concerned about the lack of playing time hindering his chances of making the World Cup squad in 2014.

However, the all-action midfielder played down those reports, saying the only club he would leave United for would be Real Madrid or Barcelona, because only those two clubs are on United's level.

"It's not true. Everyone knows I'm happy at the club," Nani said. "I've had a lot of injuries but I've never let the smile go from my face. I try to help the team all the time.

"When I want to leave I will have to talk to the boss first. I don't have any issues.

"The only places you could go to from here are Real Madrid and Barcelona. You can't have another choice.

"The level at Manchester United is so big. You come here and you are definitely going to win titles. I have won the Premier League three times.

"I have won the Champions League once and lost two finals. I have always been there."

Anderson acknowledged it was difficult for any player to come to United and make an impact. "I came to Manchester United as a Brazilian and I have been here six years," he added. "It's not easy to stay here. I love it here. But it is hard.

"It is not easy to play for Manchester United. A lot of top players came here and couldn't do it - Juan Veron, some big players. Kleberson came here and didn't play.

"I came here when I was very young. I came from Porto and there were people like Scholes and other big players. It was hard. But in my first year I did very well.

"In the second I played some games and missed some, then I have had big injuries. But I have always been here when the boys have needed me.

"I have had some serious injuries, some problems. But when I don't have these problems I know my quality. I know I can play.

"When I take two steps forward I seem to take three back. It is sad but I have to do my job. I need to play games and not to have any injuries."
