The Super Bowl is over and the Baltimore Ravens are champions of the NFL world. Both teams performed admirably and the game was memorable for many reasons, most notably the 30 minute blackout delay.

The commercials were controversial and funny, while the game itself was an exciting piece of football. The game featured a lot of history and firsts for Super Bowl matchups, including the likely first-ever blackout that cause a delay in the championship game.

Here is a rundown of some Super Bowl statistics, information and fun facts from Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans.

-This Super Bowl featured the longest-ever run for a touchdown by a quarterback after Colin Kaepernick took home a 15-yard touchdown in fourth quarter. This comes after Kaepernick set the all-time record for rushing yards by a quarterback in any game against the Green Bay Packers in January.

-San Francisco was the most potent offensive team to lose the Super Bowl.

Only three other teams in Super Bowl history racked up an average of 7.8 yards per play, as the 49ers did. All three of those teams won by at least 30 points. The 49ers are the only ones to lose when putting up that stat.

-Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco tied Tom Brady for the most playoff wins in his first five seasons with nine and is now the top place-holder in victories over the past five years, playoffs and regular season combined, with 63 wins.

-Jacoby Jones showed off his speed and gave everyone a chance to see the longest kickoff return and play in Super Bowl history with his pre-blackout (literally) 108-yard kick return. He also became the first player to have a receiving and return touchdown in the championship game.

-An obvious one, but, it's the first time two bothers coached against each other with Jim and John Harbaugh.

-John and the Ravens attempted the first fake field goal in Super Bowl history. It did not work.

-The first-ever blackout and power delay in Super Bowl history.

-It is now two years in a row that a black general manager won the Super Bowl, with Jerry Reese with the Giants and now Ozzie Newsome. Makes it even more glaring that no African-American coaches or general managers were hired for 15 openings after this NFL season.

-Flacco joined a list of quarterbacks to win Super Bowl MVPs with no picks in the playoffs, including Joe Montana and Steve Young. He finished with 11 touchdowns and no picks. He also held true the statement that all quarterbacks who entered the Super Bowl with eight TDs and no picks all won the Super Bowl and the MVP award.

-First time ever a team did not win the Super Bowl despite having a 300 yard passer, 100 yard rusher, two 100 yard receivers, as the 49ers did that on Sunday.

-The 49ers are now 5-1 in the Super Bowl, while the Ravens are 2-0. Amazingly, Kaepernick's interception was the first thrown by a 49ers quarterback in the Super Bowl. Like EVER.

-Also a little nugget.

Kapernick and 49ers had seven pass attempts in the red zone, completed zero. Alex Smith had 70 percent completion rate in red zone when he played in the 2012 season. Also, Flacco threw two redzone touchdowns.

Ray Lewis leaves the game with another championship while Ed Reed and Joe Flacco take home their first taste of Super Bowl glory.
