The Beyonce Bowl lived up to expectations as the singer delivered a strong performance, in what is perhaps one of the most anticipated Super Bowl halftime show performances in recent memory.

Twitter agrees as Beyonce was a hit on social media. A contingent still says Madonna was better, but let's not forget she brought out a gaggle of forgettable guests including LMFAO and MIA.

The setlist of songs included "Love on Top," "Crazy in Love," "End of Time," and "Baby Boy." One of the biggest surprises of the show would have to be when she was joined by her Destiny's Child bandmates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland for "Bootylicious," "Independent Woman" and a special version of Beyonce's "Single Ladies."

The Destiny's Child stage reunion was a real treat for fans, especially after Williams did her best to downplay rumors of their reunion.

Before the Super Bowl, Beyonce was the subject of a lip-syncing controversy after performing the national anthem during President Barack Obama's inauguration.

She addressed the controversy during Thursday's Super Bowl press conference.

"I will absolutely be singing live," Beyonce said Thursday. "I am well-rehearsed. This is what I was born to do."

Let us know what you thought of the performance in the comments.

Below are some of what fans were saying on Twitter.
