Los Angeles Lakers Rumors:Kobe Bryant Doesn't See Himself Not Winning Another Championship, But Will He? (Poll Question)

Feb 01, 2013 03:17 PM EST

Though the Los Angeles Lakers appear to have corrected a few internal problems they've had, the remain on the outside looking in when it comes to the current playoff picture.

Lakers star guard Kobe Bryant sat for an extensive interview with T.J. Simers of the L.A. Times, and discussed his relationship with Dwight Howard, head coach Mike D'Antoni and a few other issues the Lakers are dealing with at this time.

His most interesting statement from the interview would have to be when he was asked about winning another championship. As we all know a sixth championship would tie him with Michael Jordan and place him ahead of former Laker great Magic Johnson as all-time leader in Laker history.

Bryant's response was short, simple and to the point.

"I can't see that happening," he says.

The competitive Bryant also brought up that winning takes precedence over everything else. He admits that sometimes it makes him do irrational things, like take 30-40 shots a game. However, for the most part it's been one of the things that's kept him successful throughout his 17 seasons.

His team is currently sitting at 20-26 and are four games out of the final eight position for the playoffs. With the current odds stacked against him, there's no question in his mind that he's leaving the NBA without a sixth championship.
