Farmers Insurance Open goes live with Tiger Woods as he tees off at 12:40 PM ET from Torrey Pines in San Diego for round two.

Tiger Woods is off to an excellent start at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines, leading the pack as he gets set to tee of for round three. He is leading the tournament with an 11-under par, holding a two-stroke lead over Billy Horschel, who will tee off with Woods at 12:40 PM ET. There are six other players that are two shots behind.

"I feel good right now," Woods said to the Associated Press. "I'm leading the tournament."

Horschel hit a 69 on the South Course to get into the final group.

"It's a good day and I'm excited about tomorrow -- I get to play with Tiger," Horschel said. "I found out when I tapped in for par. I realized he was leading and I was in second place. So, yeah, looking forward to that."

Woods has had a great deal of success at the course in his career, winning it six different times, although he hasn't take home the big check since 2008. When he won his last title at the course, it was his fourth in five years.

Phil Mickelson tees off earlier at 12:10 along with Aaron Baddeley and Martin Laird and is 10 strokes behind Woods for the lead after shooting a 71 to stay alive. Defending champion Brandt Snedeker was in the lead with KJ Choi after Thursday, but he slipped a bit on Friday, finishing with a 75 to fall seven shots behind Choi.

Woods started off with a 4-under 68 on Thursday and played the easier North course on Friday, despite having to deal with some rain and win. He made a short birdie on the seventh and had a two-putt birdie on the ninth green.

"Drive the ball well here and you're going to probably have four iron shots into the par 5s," Woods said. "You sprinkle that in with probably four or five wedge shots in there, a round of 6- or 7-under par is definitely conceivable."

Woods has won 18 career majors, but he hasn't taken one home since the scandal that rocked him and his wife two years ago, which ended in a divorce.  Woods' driver was working for him on Thursday, as he hit 18 greens and 15 fairways during the round. Woods also was solid on his short game, which is a big improvement of the past two years.

Woods made some other news off the course the past few days, as reports came out that he was dating Olympian Lindsey Vonn. It would be the most high-profile relationship for Woods since his divorce a couple years ago that resulted in a $100 million-plus settlement.

Vonn's representatives did not confirm the relationship, but the skier had some success on Saturday while competing in Europe, winning her second race in the span of a week after taking home a World Cup giant slalom.

Funny enough, a few years ago when Vonn heard about the Tiger Woods scandal, she made jokes about his press conference, saying, "they're like, 'Yeah, you're awesome, you go have that sex.' "

Obviously the two could put things behind them and the relationship has clearly given Woods some comfort on the golf course based on the way he has played.
