Victoria's Secret Super Bowl ad is on the list of Greatest Commercials during the game. Kate Upton will keep tradition alive in New Orleans with Mercedes ad.
Victoria's Secret is one of the most recognizable brands in the world and the company has made an impact in the past by airing Super Bowl ads.
While the company is not airing their own commercial for the game in New Orleans this season, they will not be left out of the festivities. According to the company's main website, a Victoria's Secret ad featuring supermodel Adriana Lima from 2008 is in the running for the Greatest Super Bowl Commercials of the past decade
The television special is being hosted by The Talk's Aisha Tyler & NFL Today's Boomer Esiason on Jan. 30 and fans will be able to vote live online during the broadcast. The top three vote getters will be named the best Super Bowl commercials.
Apart from the Lima ad, other commercials (all which can be seen HERE) include Careerbuilder.com "Celebration", Budweiser "Team Clydesdale", Coke "Mean Joe Greene" as well as Doritos "Sling Baby".
The Lima commercial aired during the New York Giants and New England Patriots Super Bowl matchup in Phoenix and was viewed by 100 million people. Titles, "Adriana Football," the ad shows the sexy supermodel sitting in a chair tossing a football. Tom Brady's wide Gisele Bündchen is also a Victoria's Secret model.
According to ABC.com, at the time, a 30-second slot cost up to $2.7 million."
Kate Upton is a Victoria's Secret model, but she will be doing an ad for Mercedes, which was revealed online in a teaser.
The video title is "Kate Upton Washes the All-New Mercedes-Benz CLA in Slow Motion" and shows Upton next to the car clad in a tank top and shorts. Upton doesn't get around to cleaning the car, but later during the Super Bowl, it's likely she will.
Lima is considered to be one of the top supermodels in the world after joining the clothing line in 2000 as a Victoria's Secret Angel. She is ranked in the top five of highest-earning models in the world and is married to Serbian basketball player Marko Jarić.
