As you might have heard by now, the Arizona Diamondbacks offered Justin Upton to the Seattle Mariners Thursday night. Upton said no way since the team is one of four in his no-trade clause. Now, with brother B.J. Upton in Atlanta, it looks like the Braves have a clear chance at luring the final piece missing in their outfield.
Why would Justin play in Atlanta?
Brother B.J. signed the organization's most expensive contract over the winter at five-years, $75.25 million. As Jon Heyman, baseball insider for CBSSports.com, Justin would be willing to play in Atlanta as he would look forward to joining forces with his brother.

It's simple and straight to the point. Nobody wants to play in Seattle, at least not yet. The Mariners were offering a pretty heavy package of four players including right-handed Taijuan Walker who is only 20 and considered one of the games' best prospects.
Now that the Diamondbacks acquired a future shortstop after a three-team deal landed them Didi Gregorious, the Braves could make a package that would rid them of less talent.
Previously, when the D'Backs were shopping for shortstops, they wanted Andrelton Simmons who was only slowed down due to injury in 2012. He proved to have a strong arm, great fielding instincts and handled the bat well hitting .289 in 166 plate appearances.
Mark Bowman, Braves beat writer, believes the D'Backs would want Atlanta to send a package with either Julio Teheran or Randall Delgado in a deal along with youngsters Nick Ahmed and Corey Gearrin.
Though the Braves would love to add Justin's power, it would be interesting to see if they give up all that talent for Upton who would be playing in Atlanta, next to his brother, for at least the next three seasons.
