All eight teams alive in the NFL are in action this weekend and only the strong will survive these battles. In baseball, pitchers control the pace of the games, but chicks did the long ball. In football, however, the chicks dig deep touchdown passes from quarterbacks. Find out which QBs will go from the division round to the conference championship.
These games feature top defenses like the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos. However, there are a couple of teams that feature top quarterbacks and those guys are expected to get it.
The Atlanta Falcons possess Matt Ryan who stepped up his game in 2012. He threw for 4,719 yards and 32 touchdowns in the season. Those were his best numbers in his five-year career. However, the Seattle defense will trump the Falcons' efforts in Sunday's divisional game. Look what they did to the Washington Redskins who averaged 27 points per game during the regular season.
Check out the Top 3 teams that will move on because of their quarterback performances in the divisional games. Start thinking about your team's quarterback and be real with yourself before moving on to the rest of the slideshow.
Here we go.
#3 Aaron Rodgers- Green Bay Packers
Here are Aaron Rodgers' numbers in 2012.
371 complete passes
4,295 passing yards
39 passing TDs
259 yards rushing
2 TDs
He has healthy receivers and since the Packers had a weak running game all season long, they are used to winning behind Rodgers' arm.
#2 Tom Brady- New England Patriots
Here are Brady's 2012 numbers:
401 Completions
4,827 passing yards
34 passing touchdowns
4 rushing touchdowns
At the beginning of the 2012 season, it looked like Brady had come down to earth starting off the season 3-3. They won seven games in a row and finished the season winning 9 of 10.
The Patriots play the Houston Texans at 4:30 p.m. ET on Sunday. If this game turns out like their Week 14 meeting then this one will be over quickly as the Patriots rocked the Texans 42-14.
#1 Peyton Manning- Denver Broncos
In 2012 Manning produced this:
400 Completions
4,659 Passing Yards
37 Passing Touchdowns
The Denvers' offense is tops in the league averaging 30 points a game only behind the New England Patriots. They have the fifth best passing game averaging 283 yards per game.
The Broncos face the Baltimore Ravens at 4:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. The Broncos beet them in Week 15 34-17. The Ravens' defense will have to show up and stop Manning if they want to win, but that will probably not happen.
