Lakers Dwight Howard Gets Ejected After Committing Flagrant Foul In Loss Against The Nuggets (Video)

The five-game winning streak is now over for the Los Angeles Lakers after a 126-114 loss to the Denver Nuggets Wednesday night.

Even though the Lakers appeared to be coming together with two solid wins over the Golden State Warriors and New York Knicks in Steve Nash's return, the team struggled defensively to high scoring Nuggets team.

Denver came out firing from distance hitting 12 three-pointers with Corey Brewer leading the way off the bench for the Nuggets with a team-high 27 points and 18 of those points from beyond the arc.

There was a bright spot for the Lakers, however, as they began to chip away the Nuggets' lead in the second half, but as they began to build momentum, Dwight Howard was ejected from the game with 5:02 left in the third quarter for a hard foul to the face of Kenneth Faried. Howard was charged with a flagrant 2 foul that resulted in his ejection.

Howard finished the game with 12 points and seven rebounds all while shooting 4-9 from the free throw line.

His flagrant 2 foul may result in a league suspension. Though the foul didn't appear to be overly violent or malicious in any way, still, league officials may see it differently and penalize Howard with a one-game suspension.
