Juventus will look to go ten points clear in the Serie A with victory at Cagliari in their final league game of 2012 Friday.

Juve are already seven points ahead of Inter Milan in the table, and with the Turin side the only top team to play on Friday, they could possibly extend their lead to double figures by picking up all three points against a side which are 16th in the table, just two points above the relegation zone.

Juventus manager Antonio Conte is hoping his side do not take their opposition lightly.

"The danger is that we might have our minds on the holidays after all the praise we've had this week, that we might relax and go into the game with Cagliari assuming we'll win it, our thoughts more on getting away for the break than on the pitch," Conte told reporters.

"I'll do my bit and I expect my players to respond. This is the time I want to see answers and in that sense the team has always surprised me in a positive way.

"I won't give them a shorter holiday if we were to get a bad result, there's no need for that -- we're mature enough to approach the game the right way. The figures are telling -- we've got more points than last year."

Juventus, however, will be without defender Giorgio Chiellini, after the center-back suffered a calf tear.

"It's a shame Chiellini's injured, he's a player everyone would like to have, for what he offers both on and off the field of play," Conte added. "He's one of our leaders. But I'm convinced he'll come back stronger than before, looking to recover as soon as possible with the help of the club's medical staff.

"(Mirko) Vucinic is another player with a slight ailment. We'll have a look at him today (Friday) in training and make the necessary evaluations. We'll look to manage the current situation in the best possible way, perhaps it's the first game we'll face with a series of injury problems. Having said that, I'm convinced the team will respond in the correct manner."
