For the actual Thursday night schedule and why it is not on in Week 16, check here for the run down.

You know things are getting serious when there's NFL on Saturday. Unfortunately, for those who enjoyed football on Thursday, that is over with.

The next football game on the schedule is on Saturday between the Atlanta Falcons and the Detriot Lions. They will meet in Ford Field at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Also, there are no longer any Monday Night Football games. The final MNF game was between the New York Jets and the Tennessee Titans and we know how that turned out. The last Thursday Night Football match was between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Cincinnati Bengals.

The game scheduled for Saturday will be important as far as the Falcons continuing with the best record in the league. A win would lock up the first seed in the NFC.

The San Francisco 49ers are 10-3-1. One more win for the Falcons and the 49ers will be the second seed.

Either way, it's a game the Falcons won't have to play making a Super Bowl run even easier.

The Falcons have an easier schedule than the 49ers who face the Seattle Seahawks, which could be a possible loss. Then they take on the Arizona Cardinals.

It will be an interesting final two weeks of football to watch. Don't miss Week 16 beginning on Saturday.
