Champions League Draw: Ronaldo Returns to Old Trafford as Real Madrid Draw Manchester United; Barca Face Milan and Arsenal Take on Bayern

The inevitable was bound to happen!

Cristiano Ronaldo will make a return to Old Trafford after his side Real Madrid were drawn with Manchester United in the last-16 of the Champions League.

That is not the only mouth-watering clash on offer though, with Arsenal facing off against last year's runners-up Bayern Munich and Barcelona and AC Milan renewing their rivalries with each other.

Arsene Wenger would have breathed a sigh of relief to not have drawn Barcelona for the third time in four years.

The other five matches will see Galatasaray face Schalke, Celtic take on Juventus, Shakhtar Donetsk meeting Borussia Dortmund, while Valencia will play PSG and Porto will try to knock out Spanish side Malaga.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon, whose side beat Barcelona in the group stages, is ecstatic to have the opportunity to try and topple the Italian champions.

"In terms of glamour it is great," Lennon told Sky Sports News. "In terms of qualification it is going to be very tough. But we will take it as it comes and our supporters will be looking forward to this match.

"Juventus are littered with world-class stars and they have been very consistent over the last 18 months. But coming through the group as impressively as we did, and you never know where you are going to be in a few months' time.

"This club is built on the legends of Jock Stein and the Lisbon Lions, this team is reaching those same heights again. They have belief in themselves and have been playing very well away from home."

Chelsea might have been knocked out of the Champions League, but manager Rafa Benitez, who won the competition with Liverpool, believes one of the usual suspects will eventually win the crown in Wembley.

"Barcelona, Real Madrid, the English teams, Bayern Munich and Juventus are strong teams," Benitez said.

"You can find a surprise in some seasons but because those teams are so strong, I don't see there being any surprises this year."

The last-16 first leg will be played over two matchdays on February 12/13 and 19/20, with the second leg being played on March 5/6 and 12/13.

The teams that finished runners-up in the group will host the first leg, with the group winners having the advantage of playing the deciding second leg at home.

Champions League pre-quarterfinal lineup: Galatasaray vs Schalke; Celtic vs Juventus; Arsenal vs Bayern Munich; Shakhtar Donetsk vs Borussia Dortmund; AC Milan vs FC Barcelona; Real Madrid vs Manchester United; Valencia vs PSG; FC Porto vs Malaga.
