The Los Angeles Dodgers' newest pitching acquisition, Hyun-Jin Ryu is becoming a Twitter sensation as the right hander pitcher is taken the social media site by storm with his photos.

Yesterday, the Dodgers gave Ryu control of the team's Twitter site. Today, he took it a step further and took a couple of pictures of himself doing the Gangnam Style, the hit sensation by a fellow South Korean artist, Psy.

Without a doubt, Ryu is reaching beyond the South Korean fans and infiltrating himself in many cultures by becoming relevant in Twitter.

The Dodgers invested $62 million on the 25-year-old hurler and now fans are expecting a lot, not only from Ryu, but from the team as well. He has won numerous awards in the KBO (Korean Baseball Organization) taking the equivalent to the MLB's Rookie of the Year and league MVP at just the age of 19.

Nobody knows what Ryu will be capable of doing in a new league, but the Dodgers were not shy about giving him a chance to prove himself at the major league level.

Along with Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke, Ryu will be a part of a Dodgers team that is expected to dominate as they are dropping dollars left and right.

On Sunday, the last day the Dodgers had to agree to a deal after winning an exclusive bidding period for the right hander, both sides agreed to a six-year $36 million deal.

Just to give you an idea of how much money Ryu is getting, in his rookie season he made $21,000 which is equivalent to 20 million won. Now, he's probably a billionaire.

For now, Ryu will not have to worry about pitching and will focus on winning the hearts of Dodgers fan before the 2013 season kicks off.
