Week 14 saw the Washington Redskins complete a big comeback keeping them just a game behind the New York Giants in the NFC East. With just three games remaining, the Redskins chances of making the playoffs are high.

Robert Griffin III has brought change to D.C. as the Redskins are now a competitive team in one of the most competitive divisions in the NFL. Their remaining schedule features a weak Cleveland Brown team that is in a sudden surge, the Philadelphia Eagles and inconsistent Dallas Cowboys.

Before we get into their schedule and why their chances are better in the NFC East, lets discuss the situation in the NFC Wild Card. The Chicago Bears and Seattle Seahawks head that race as they are both 8-5.

The Redskins are just one game behind these guys in the Wild Card. However, every team's first wish is to take their division, whether we are talking baseball, hockey or basketball.

The Giants have the tough task of facing a trio of birds the Atlanta Falcons (11-2), Baltimore Ravens (9-4) and Eagles (4-9). Though the Eagles don't directly possess a threat since they struggled all season long, the Falcons are the best team in the NFC and the Ravens are one of the toughest teams in the league despite losing their last two games.

As for the Cowboys, who are 7-6, their schedule is made up of the Pittsburgh Steelers, New Orleans Saints and Redskins. They face two teams struggling in the Steelers and Saints, but the Cowboys are a team that finds a way to lose in the biggest games and moments of the season. Therefore saying the Cowboys are a favorite over the Giants or Redskins is a leap.

For the Redskins, their opponents are a combined 16-23 in the season. The Browns are 5-8 and the Eagles are worse at 4-9. The Cowboys face teams with a combined 19-20 record. As for the Giants, their opponents are a combined 24-15.

The odds favor the Redskins as far as records are concerned. They might be without their on-field leader, RGIII, but their replacement quarterback, Kirk Cousins, proved reliable in big time moments in a big time game.

Look for the Redskins to give, not only the Giants, but the Seahawks and Bears a run for their money as the season comes to an end.
