Arsenal are one of the foremost teams when it comes to recruiting youngsters, and the Gunners are hot on the trail of two extremely talented players.

Wilfried Zaha has been touted by many to have a bright future in the English Premier League, and has been linked to Arsenal extensively for the past few months.

The Crystal Palace winger is having a breakout season, catching every single major Premier League team's eye, including Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool.

However, Arsenal have an upper hand in the fact that Zaha is a self-confessed Arsenal fan, and the North London team are set to put in a formal offer. The England international, who is still eligible to play for Ivory Coast, is valued at a massive £18 million ($29 million), as is the norm when it comes to young players in England.

Wenger is not too shy when it comes to shelling out large amounts for up and coming players, if he believes they have a bright future. The Arsenal manager is a big fan of Zaha, having sent out scouts to watch him extensively over the past couple of months.

The 20-year-old is one of the priority targets in January, and Arsenal are readying a serious bid to try and seal the signing as soon as possible.

Palace are not keen to sell their best player as they look to win promotion to the Premier League, but the club will be tempted to sell if they receive a big offer, which, knowing Arsenal, might be hard to come by, even if it is for a youngster.

Another player on Arsenal's radar is Toulouse fullback Sege Aurier. The 18-year-old is highly regarded in France, and is already turning himself into one of the most consistent right-backs in the league.

With Bacary Sagna reportedly rejecting a contract offer, Wenger will be keeping a close eye on Aurier, although a move, if it will happen, will only most likely be made in the summer.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have been stealing the headlines in the transfer rumor forums on two particular players - Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Lewis Holtby.

The Schalke pair are out of contract in the summer, and the Gunners are the frontrunners for the signatures of both players. Huntelaar is seen as the most likely of signings in January, with the Gunners in desperate need of some extra firepower up front.

Huntelaar and Holtby's Schalke teammate Kyriakos Papadopoulos, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United in the past, admitted to being a little frustrated with the constant speculation over the pair's futures.

"These issues overlap much publicly," he said. "As I said, it would be best if both decide quickly so we can all focus on our football."

Arsenal fans will be wishing the decision to join the Gunners will be made as soon as possible.
