Giants vs. Redskins Prediction: RGIII Holds Advantage and Will Win at Home for Monday Night Football

Dec 03, 2012 05:04 PM EST

It is probably still fresh in the Washington Redskins' mind, Eli Manning and Victor Cruz connecting just seconds after they had taken a late fourth quarter lead as the New York Giants took the Week 7 meeting 27-23. However, playing at home in front of his crowd, look for Robert Griffin III and his crew to take this matchup and pull to a 6-6 record when this is all over.

The Redskins, minus their four turnovers (three fumbles, one INT) that day, had the Giants on their heels all game long.

They ran those tricky options play that allow the Redskins to be versatile and keep the Giants pass rush, which has been tamed this year, at ease since they don't know who will have the ball.

RGIII is usually surrounded by two players, sometimes three.

Santana Moss seems to come up big against the Giants every time. had the Cruz not scored that touchdown and Eli completed the comeback, Moss and RGIII would have been the winning duo. He finished the first matchup with 67 yards and two touchdowns.

The Giants and Redskins are coming off huge Week 12 wins.

The Redskins thumped the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving and almost blew their big lead. Meanwhile, the Giants ran all over the Green Bay Packers.

The Giants could use a win today as they would stay two games above the Cowboys who won yesterday.

However, I see the Giants losing this one and standing with a 7-5 record, while the Redskins get back to .500 and make a run for the division.

Prediction: The Redskins offense will thrive once again under their offensive system. The only way the Giants have a chance of winning the game is if they hold on to the ball, but their offense is not built that way. RGIII will go for 100 yards rushing and a touchdown while throwing 250 yards and two scores.

Final score: Redskins win 30-26

If you're in the NYC area come out today as I will be doing the live blog of this game from Canz a Citi located in Astoria, Queens. Look for the guy with the laptop and the mustache.
