Julius Peppers #56 of the Green Bay Packers celebrates with A.J. Hawk #50 after scoring against the Minnesota Vikings on an interception in the second quarter on October 02, 2014 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin."

Julius Peppers has been in the NFL for a very long time. Peppers at the age of 36 has recorded 637 combined tackles, 136 sacks, 70 pass defenses, 11 interceptions, 4 defensive touchdowns, and 45 forced fumbles.

It is rare that you get a player who is so productive and has such a huge cap hit at his age. The Packers will need to do a ton of work in the offseason to fix this offense and return to form, to do this, they may need so capital in order to land some free agents. With Peppers advanced age and his $10 million plus cap hit he appears to be a candidate for release if not a severe contract restructure.

If Peppers were released several teams would be interested including the Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Giants, Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints, Indianapolis Colts, Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs, Arizona Cardinals, and the Cincinnati Bengals.

The teams that jump out the most are obviously the Chicago Bears and the Carolina Panthers as he played for those teams for the longest amount of time. Peppers may be 36 but he is still incredibly effective and played/started in all 16 games in 2015. Peppers produced like a younger player recording 37 combined tackles, 10.5 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles. If Peppers continues to play at this level he could be in the NFL until he is 40.
