Gareth Bale put in a masterclass against Liverpool in midweek, and the Welsh winger will be keen to emulate that form against a Fulham side that have conceded way too many goals this season.
Fulham, who are winless in six games, however, have their own trump card in Dimitar Berbatov, and the former Spurs striker will be keen to make an impression against his old side.
"We want to capitalise on our run of form, but we understand that it will be difficult with Fulham and then Everton away," Villas-Boas said. "You could argue that their recent form has taken them down the table a little, but they've managed to draw at Arsenal and Chelsea away and this is no easy game.
"Fulham have made one of their best starts in the Premier League. They are looking good, they are well managed by Martin, he defends good football and his teams are always well organised.
"We hope to be as competitive as we have been, knowing we have to recover physically for the game. The players have been excellent in the way they've approached every game, they are all at 100 percent, no-one takes their foot off the gas and I think if they do that again, we have a big chance, no doubt."
For Fulham, Bryan Ruiz and Alex Kacaniklic are out for another week, but Kieran Richardson is available after shaking off his hamstring problem. Skipper Brede Hangeland will serve the final of his three-match suspension, with Simon Davies still a few games away from a return.
Spurs will have Steven Caulker available after he missed the last game through illness, while Emmanuel Adebayor will serve the last of his suspension.
Expected lineups: Fulham: Schwarzer; Riether, Senderos, Hughes, Riise; Baird, Sidwell; Duff, Rodallega, Berbatov; Petric.
Tottenham: Lloris; Walker, Gallas, Dawson, Vertonghen; Sandro, Dembele, Lennon, Bale, Dempsey; Defoe.
