Falcons vs. Saints Predictions: Atlanta Will Avenge Loss in Thursday Night Football Matchup

Nov 29, 2012 04:43 PM EST

The New Orleans Saints will face the Atlanta Falcons and this time Matt Ryan and his birds have homefield advantage as this NFC South battle will take place in Thursday Night Football's Week 13.

The Falcons are 10-1 and their only loss was suffered at the hands of these Saints.

Without a doubt, the Falcons are looking to get revenge after Drew Brees and his squad ruined their perfect season back in Week 10.

Ryan almost brought the Falcons back in a late game drive, but it proved futile as the Saints protected well and prevented them from getting a score in the end zone.

The Falcons have had some issues winning as of late, but they have managed. They barely got past the Arizona Cardinals as they won 23-19 and beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-22 last Sunday.

Many consider the Falcons to be flukes, but in reality they find a way to win all the time.

Tonight, that will be the case. They will find a way to win against the Saints as they look to clinch a playoff berth.

The Saints will not go down without a fight though as Brees will likely popoff with at least two touchdowns in this game.

The Falcons post the second best passing game in the NFL and we know the Saints have issues playing the pass. They are the third worse team in the NFL ranking 30th in the league giving up 298 yards per game over the air.

Scoring prediction: The Falcons can't run the ball so count on their QB Matt Ryan to stamp his team in the playoffs with a 300-plus passing game and three touchdowns. This will be a high scoring affair.

Final score: Falcons win 37-27
