The Houston Texans are in the market for another quarterback heading into next season and names like Sam Bradford, Johnny Manziel, Robert Griffin and Christian Hackenberg could be potential targets for Bill O'Brien.

The Texans used four different starting quarterbacks last season due to injuries and other issues and heading into 2016, owner Bob McNair wants to try and get a franchise player onto the roster. According to the Houston Chronicle, McNair said that the quarterback position is one they will focus on for next season and that it'll be "a question of who's available" and at what price. The team could go after players on the market, trades and the draft to add some options at the position.

The team will have Brian Hoyer and Tom Savage back for next season, but it's likely that the Texans will also add another player to compete to start at quarterback. Sam Bradford could be a potential option, as he is the top quarterback available on the free agent market. Bradford is likely to be a target to return to the Eagles, but he could consider making a move after the team fired Chip Kelly. Playing with DeAndre Hopkins in Houston could be appealing to Bradford, who proved he could stay healthy for the most part this season after dealing with knee issues the past few years.

Griffin and Manziel could also be options for the Texans, as both players are expected to be on different teams next season. Griffin reportedly will be released by the Redskins this offseason, while Hue Jackson has made some quotes that makes it sound like Manziel is done in Cleveland. Both players hail from Texas and if getting to the Dallas Cowboys doesn't work out, the two could consider another Texas team. Griffin and/or Manziel could be solid options to compete to start or to serve as backups for the Texans.

Christian Hackenberg also could be an option, as O'Brien coached the QB while he was the head coach at Penn State. The Texans are reportedly considering moving on from Arian Foster this offseason, as the Houston Chronicle reports that "multiple sources" have said that the team is expected to cut Foster. Foster has been one of the best backs in football while healthy, but he has not played a full season for the Texans since the 2012 season. Foster is going to be 30 by the time next season starts and is entering the final year of his contract.

According to Aaron Wilson at the Chronicle, the Texans may feel that it's time to move on after all the injury issues that Foster has dealt with, including groin and Achilles injuries this past season. Foster was limited to just four games this season and rushed for 163 yards and has now missed over 20 games over the past three seasons.
