Green Bay Packers Rumors: Will Davante Adams Be Cut This Offseason?

The Packers must figure out their wide receiver situation and currently they may need look for a few more.

The Packers have struggled with their wide receivers all season, Adams was supposedly going to be a breakout star for the Pack in 2015 but it never happened.  Instead Adams saw a season of injury and frustration, even when he was on the field he struggled to be a consistent factor. The Packers also saw this from Randall Cobb and Ty Montgomery as well.

Adams finished the 2015 regular season with 50 receptions, 483 yards, and one touchdown, the sophomore slump could not have hit him harder. Even rookie Ty Montgomery had more touchdowns than Adams which should make the play of Jeff Janis and Jared Abbrederis that much scarier to the young wide receiver. Janis and Abbrederis got it done regardless of the situation.

They came up big in the postseason and will likely fight to earn more playing time in 2016. This position is getting crowded and if the Packers feel the need they could draft his replacement this season. Of Course Adams had to deal with injuries all season long but still it is hard to not be disappointed by his play in 2015. One thing is for sure Adams is not a lock to make the roster come the 2016 season.
