The Redskins will have a ton of work to do in the offseason if they are going to return to the playoffs. The Redskins will have a ton of needs and several key free agents that will determine how this defense operates in the future.

The Redskins could lose, Junior Galette (Outside Linebacker), Terrance Knighton (Defensive Tackle), Kirk Cousins (Quarterback), and Alfred Morris (Running Back). The Redskins should focus on resigning Terrance Knighton first on the defensive side of the ball as Galette will be returning from injury and his playing status will be a bit more fluid than Knighton's. Next up would be Kirk Cousins the Redskins saving grace at quarterback.

It is unknown how much Cousins would cost on the open market but he is currently the best quarterback heading into free agency. That means teams like the Houston Texans, St. Louis Rams, San Francisco 49ers, should be looking to throw some dollars Cousins way. If the Redskins get priced out of Cousins services, the team's future would suddenly look incredibly bleak. Lastly they will need to make a decision on Alfred Morris and it will not be an easy one.

All of the Redskins running backs are flawed in some way so it would make sense to see the veteran of those players resigned long term. This draft is once again pretty deep at running back so the Redskins could release Morris and draft a younger back to become their future bell cow.
