NFL News and Rumors: Giants Hire Ben McAdoo, Announce New Staff Members For 2016 Season

The New York Giants have announced that Ben McAdoo will be their new head coach as the Gmen look to make consistency their top priority.

McAdoo was the rumored incumbent for some time however with all of these coaches available it would have been hard for the Giants to not go in a different direction. The bottom line though is Eli Manning is an old veteran now, and Coughlin's system is something he knows well.

McAdoo has some experience with Manning and can hopefully keep him from returning to his turnover prone ways of the past. Manning was visibly emotional as Coughlin left the Giants but now he is showing a new feeling, excitement.

Manning will likely enjoy the fact that he will have at least 1 familiar face on the coaching staff as the Giants look to rebound from a disappointing season. McAdoo has spent the majority of his time in the NFL as an offensive coordinator so it is a pretty big unknown how he will respond to being the head coach.

The Giants also took time to make Joe Philbin the new offensive line coach after his horrific stint in Miami.
