Manchester United and Sir Alex Ferguson, fresh from having his statue unveiled at Old Trafford, will look to pile on the misery on Queens Park Rangers when the two teams meet in the English Premier League Saturday.

QPR are currently without a manager after firing Mark Hughes, although Harry Redknapp is expected to take over soon. The only team yet to win a game this season, QPR will be desperate for a positive result.

United, however, after their disappointing loss to Norwich, will want to bounce back and get their Premier League campaign back on track.

"If you analyse things a little bit more closely it's probably a lesson to everyone that changing a team and bringing 11 new players in to the Premier League is not easy," Ferguson said. "But I am surprised they've only got four points.

"I didn't expect them to immediately set a blazing trail or be up at the top of the league or anything like that with 11 new players to bed in, but they've only four points and of course that creates its own headlines."

A win over QPR will take United back to the top, with current leaders City set to take on Chelsea on Sunday. Incoming manager Harry Redknapp said he will be at Old Trafford watching the match from the stands, as he prepares himself to take over, even though the announcement hasn't been made yet.

"I will travel up to Old Trafford probably on Saturday and just sit in the stand and watch the game," Redknapp said. "If everything gets sorted, and I'm sure it will, I'll be in on Sunday morning, have the team in for training, train Monday and then fly up to Sunderland.

"I fancy getting back into the Premier League. QPR is a good club, with great fans and a great atmosphere.

"I am looking forward to it. It's a big challenge. It will be a tough job to take on but I am up for the challenge."

United will have Wayne Rooney back in the lineup after the striker recovered from tonsillitis, while Chris Smalling has also been deemed fit. Jonny Evans and Nani though will not be available for the game.
