Brendan Rodgers will know there will be no room for sentiments when he returns to his old club, where he enjoyed a successful two-year spell.
Liverpool have been improving with every growing game this season in the English Premier League, and their climb up the table will be tested severely at Swansea on Sunday.
Rodgers got his job at Anfield, because of the prowess shown by him at Swansea last season, where he led an enterprising team to a 11th place finish in just their first year in the Premier League.
The last time Rodgers and Liverpool faced Swansea, they lost 3-1 in the League Cup at Anfield, outplayed by Michael Laudrup's side.
Rodgers will be hoping for a better result come Sunday. "It's certainly a fixture I was looking forward to," Rodgers said. "It's a beautiful part of the world, a brilliant club and I had two memorable years there.
"It was a wonderful experience and I have great memories from there, both professionally and personally.
"I'm really looking forward to going back and seeing many friends there, but ultimately looking to get the result. That's what we'll be there for."
"The Liberty Stadium is a difficult place to go, but we're going into it with a real strong mindset. We feel we're getting that momentum together and we're looking to continue with our run.
"We had a terrific result in our last league outing. We go into the game with big confidence. We know it will be difficult but we'll be looking to get a result."
Liverpool, this season, have been all about one man and one man alone - Luis Suarez. Without the Uruguayan's goals, the Reds would be staring at the bottom, rather than looking up towards the top half of the table. The Liverpool striker, arguably, has been the player of the season so far in the Premier League, and Rodgers will again pin all his hopes on the 25-year-old.
Defender Andre Wisdom is expected to be fit, after being taken off in Liverpool's Europa League game with Young Boys Thursday, with long-term absentee Lucas Leiva having a good run out for the under-21s on Friday. The Brazilian midfielder though, will not be available for Sunday's game.
"Everyone is fine," Rodgers said. "We had young Andre Wisdom come off as a precaution, but he should be fine.
"It was just a slight tweak in his knee and we just wanted to make sure he didn't provoke it anymore, so it looks like he'll be fine.
"The rest of the group were in preparing for the game on Sunday and the other group that played last night were recovering. Everyone is coming along well."
Laudrup will welcome back Ki Sung-yeung back to the squad after the midfielder missed the game against Newcastle, while former Arsenal defender Kyle Bartley is also fit, following a long absence through injury. Danny Graham, Ben Davies and Luke Moore should also be available after being ill in the past couple of days. Goalkeeper Michel Vorm, though, is still a couple of weeks away from a return.
