Josh Norman
Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Norman makes an interception during a 2015 game."

Sean Smith: Smith played in 13 games this season and was a key contributor for the Kansas City Chiefs at cornerback. Smith would finish the regular season with 45 combined tackles, 12 pass defenses, and 2 interceptions. At 28 Smith will likely have one more decent sized contract before he passes 30, something in the four year range. Smith could be an incredible asset to a contender that will need cornerback help or a middling team that is transitioning to contention. Smith is not a shutdown corner by any means but he is a lot better than most of the defensive backs in the NFL.

Prince Amukamara: With the Giants parting ways with Tom Coughlin they will probably say goodbye to the pieces he has accumulated throughout his tenure. Players such as Jason Pierre Paul and Prince Amukamara should be on their way out as a new head coach should bring in plenty of new ideas on how to run this offense/defense and how to turn this franchise around. The Giants will not truly get a fresh start until Eli Manning retires however the organization should begin clearing house this offseason. Amukamara has been one of the best cornerbacks in the league when he has been healthy. The only problem is he cannot seem to stay healthy so Amukamara should be picked up by a team with an already established secondary who are looking for a 3rd or fourth cornerback, like the Seattle Seahawks. Amukamara finished the season with 63 combined tackles, 10 pass defenses, 1 interception, and 1 forced fumble. At 26 he still has most of his career ahead of him.

Josh Norman: Panthers should resign him or tag him; it is a no brainer here unless he actually commands too much money. Norman has the best numbers out of any free agent cornerback so far as he has recorded, 56 combined tackles, 18 pass defenses, 4 interceptions, 2 defensive touchdowns, and 3 forced fumbles.

Janoris Jenkins: Jenkins might be the second best cornerback on this list and he has the stats to back it up. Jenkins played in 15 games this season recording, 64 combined tackles, 15 pass defenses, 3 interceptions, and a forced fumble. Jenkins has been the most dominant cornerback on the Rams for some time now so with a possible move to Los Angeles looming the Rams should resign the talented corner before he hits the market.

Adam Jones: The 2nd member of the #Wecommittheworstpenaltieseverclub, with the reigning ring leader being Vontaze Burfict. Jones was the defensive back who got flagged for contact with an official which cost the Bengals 15 yards and a playoff victory. Jones or formerly known as "Pacman" has had a long storied history with the NFL. He has shown a lack of discipline at every turn and often causes headaches for his coach. Despite all of his off the field baggage he still remains a highly productive player. He recorded 62 combined tackles, 1 sack, 12 pass defenses, 3 interceptions, and a forced fumble. Jones should either get a small extension with the Bengals or another team looking to contend for a title.
